Master Modern Safety Management
In collaboration with SDO college of modern business administration
The modern safety management master’s programme is designed for practitioners, such as pilots, air traffic controllers, engineers, doctors, nurses, managers, safety and quality personnel and researchers, who operate at college level and wish to expand their knowledge and practical skills to meet the safety challenges of the 21st century. After this training, they will be able to act as sparring partners for boards of directors, and create the context for proactive safety management themselves. Past experience indicates that obtaining a masters-level degree can be a defining step for career development or the next career step. Students develop from an operational security orientation into versatile business professionals who move with visible ease in a strategic policy environment.
During the programme, we focus not only on providing relevant theoretical building blocks, but also on applying them in the unruliness of everyday practice. It is possible to attend individual modules instead of the entire programme. Moreover, it is possible to attend only the master classes without further educational obligations.
Our students are expected to work in a work environment relevant to their studies, enabling them to carry out projects and assignments to strengthen their own organisation. Good cooperation and connection between employer, college and student is essential here.
Please note that the entire programme is conducted in Dutch.
The SDO University of Applied Sciences (SDO) Foundation, recognised by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science (OCW) as a legal higher education entity, is ultimately responsible for this programme. The development and commercial operation of the masters has been outsourced to Blue Wave Consulting Company. We are targeting a start on 1 February 2025.
